Location of bone lesions in children and adults - silent movie
There is no audio in this silent movie.
This is an overview of how to determine the likelihood of a bone lesion based on location within the bone in both children and adults. Bone tumours are diagnosed as part of an algorithm.
The most important determinants of what type of bone tumour are:
- Age of the patient
- Which bone is affected and where in the bone the lesion arises
- Characteristics of the bone lesion (i.e. aggressive vs non aggressive features)
- Known other disease or cancer, or the presence of other lesions in the same or other bones
